Same-sex wedding at Gannon’s Wailea | Maui, HI

Jacob and Raj’s same-sex wedding at Gannon’s Wailea was one of the most sweetest and light-hearted weddings I’ve been fortunate enough to capture! Despite the light rain shower to start off their beach photos, the mood of the day couldn’t have been more fun and joyous. And their personalities really shined with their fabulously fun suits & bow ties! 🙂

Jacob and Raj chose to get ready together and opted for pre-ceremony beach portraits at Poolenalena Beach, so that they could enjoy more of their cocktail hour with their guests. After their pre-ceremony beach photos, we headed up to Gannon’s Wailea for the remainder of their wedding day 🙂

Jacob and Raj’s ceremony was a favorite moment from the day. Raj couldn’t help holding back his tears, and it was heartwarming to capture all of the emotions he was experiencing throughout their vows. You could feel just how truly happy they are to have found each other! 🙂

Additionally, I loved their romantic ceremony arch and all the Hawaiian inspired details, from the calligraphy tea leaf place cards to the hand drawn artwork that decorated their beautiful cake.

When the night ended, Jacob and Raj gifted me a sweet thank you note and some delicious Whittaker’s chocolate bars, made in their home country of New Zealand! I feel like I say this all the time, but I feel so lucky to work with such kind and thoughtful clients on this magical island of Maui! Thank you for everything, Jacob and Raj!
